How to Train Dispatchers for FiveM Roleplay
Guide to training dispatchers for FiveM roleplay. Protocols, call handling, radio procedures, and evaluation.
Building a Training Program
Effective dispatcher training in FiveM roleplay combines system knowledge with communication skills. New dispatchers need to learn the CDE CAD interface, radio protocols, call prioritization, and unit management. A structured training program with progressive skill building produces confident and capable dispatchers.
Teaching the CAD Interface
Start training by walking new dispatchers through the CDE CAD dispatch console. Cover the call queue, unit status board, live map, and incident management tools. Have trainees practice creating calls, assigning units, and updating incident statuses in a low-pressure training environment before going live.
Radio Protocol Training
Proper radio communication is essential for dispatch operations. Teach trainees the correct radio etiquette including phonetic alphabet, ten-codes or plain language protocols, and proper call formatting. Practice scenarios where trainees must relay information clearly and concisely to field units.
Scenario-Based Practice
Create realistic training scenarios that cover common dispatch situations. Include routine calls, multi-unit responses, pursuit coordination, officer emergency situations, and mass casualty incidents. Gradually increase complexity as trainees demonstrate competency with basic operations.
Evaluation and Certification
Use the CDE CAD FTO module to track trainee progress and document evaluations. Create a checklist of required competencies and sign off on each as the trainee demonstrates proficiency. Established dispatch training programs improve the quality of roleplay across the entire community.
