CDE CAD 4.0: Dispatch, radio and the community home
4.0 is everything that shipped after 3.0 on May 5, 2026: dispatch consoles and MDTs you pick from one catalog, call priorities and statuses your community defines, an AI dispatcher that works the radio, and a rebuilt community home.
Dashboards
Every dashboard is listed in one catalog with a picture of it. The picker, the header menu and the dashboard lock all read that catalog.
- Account preferences and the new-member picker show the dashboards in five groups: dispatch, LEO and MDT, fire and EMS, mobile and tablet, civilian and services. Each has a snapshot, and one you cannot open says why on its card.
- CDEPremier comes as three clients: the Client for officers, Dispatch with separate unit and incident monitors, and Mobile for an in-car tablet. All three have a night mode, and Mobile's text size scales the whole client.
- CDE Wire and CDE Flex have dispatch versions at /dispatch-wire and /dispatch-flex, with the features of the /dispatch console. Only members with dispatch access can open the four dispatch consoles, and anyone else is told why on the page.
- Dashboard lock pins a layout for the whole community or for one department. In /start, One per role picks a dispatch, police, fire and EMS dashboard and locks each department to its role's pick.
- The live map opens inside /mdt, /fire, /ems, /tow and /mobile, which had no map of their own. It is the same map as the dispatch console, loaded only when you open it.
- CAD messaging is one component across the desktop MDTs and the Wire and Flex consoles, and you can send as your unit, including in department supervisor channels.
- CDE Wire and CDE Flex have a dark mode, set in Account preferences or from View in the workstation menu.
- CDEFox is a windowed desktop in the classic look, with a taskbar and a start menu. Its apps, the live map included, open as windows that stay where you left them, and the unit table keeps its status buttons underneath.
Calls
Priorities, statuses and call types come from your community's settings, and every path that creates a call reads them.
- Priorities go past 5. Each one can carry a level from 1 to 99, and the holding queue and the AI dispatcher rank calls by level rather than by name.
- Each call type can have a default priority. Civilian 911, FiveM 911, tow requests, traffic stops and ERS and LSPDFR callouts apply it when the caller sends none.
- Custom call statuses. The status buttons on the dispatch boards and the MDTs are drawn from your community's own codes, and a call opened from a dispatch board or an MDT starts on the default status you pick.
- Automatic on-scene marks a unit that arrives inside a radius you set with an arrival status you choose.
- Calls close on their own after a period you set on the community admin page.
- Tow requests queue on the Tow MDT, can be raised with /tow in game, and charge a tow fee when the job is completed.
- An entry in address history opens the call it came from, on the dispatch console and on CDE Flex.
Radio and AI dispatch
A P25-style radio runs between the CAD and the game server, and an AI dispatcher can take traffic on it.
- The /radio console carries the talkgroups your admins set up, with scan, emergency traffic to every unit, and moving a unit to another channel.
- The cde-radio resource puts a handheld in game. Radio Setup picks one of fourteen radio skins or your own artwork, places transmitter sites on the live map, and hides the radio while a unit is off duty.
- The AI dispatcher answers units on the radio. It runs plates and people, creates calls, attaches units, raises a panic when one is called in, and writes the call narrative.
- Units per call: each call type, or failing that each priority, sends a set number of units, in total or split by police, fire and EMS. A Try a call box shows how a call would be read and what it would get.
- Call types take keywords, so the words in a call match it to the right type before the units-per-call rule applies.
- The dispatcher speaks with the built-in voices or, with your own key, an ElevenLabs voice picked from the list, and you can play a test announcement before saving.
- The /radio command in Discord plays the live CAD radio into a voice channel.
In game
The CDECAD resource does more in the game world, and setting it up moved into the CAD.
- ALPR cameras you place in the world raise a 911 call on a flagged plate. Each hit is photographed from the camera's point of view, and the photo is attached to the call it raised and shown on every dashboard's call view.
- The ALPR panel lists cameras and hit history, tracks a plate across the map, exports hits to CSV, and keeps a hot plate list you add to by hand.
- A Toughbook laptop mounts in emergency vehicles or comes out of the boot, with the CAD drawn on its own screen.
- London Studios SmartSigns are managed from the live map. Rules put a call on the boards near it and take it down when the call closes.
- Resource setup in Community admin → Integrations creates the server key, fills in server.cfg with your address and Discord id, reads the config.lua you already run, and tells you whether the install worked.
- The CAD can push a GPS waypoint to a unit in game.
- An area-of-patrol board in game, with votes run from the /aop page.
- FiveM server keys can be limited to parts of the API, and a new game server address waits for the owner to approve it.
- Once a limited key is running, the owner can retire the old community key.
Community
The home page starts from your departments and your game server, and admins decide what the rest of the CAD shows.
- The banner carries Play on your server with its live status and player count, a switcher when there are several servers, and this week's events.
- Each department card shows its logo, your call sign there and who is on duty. Its cog picks which dashboard Go on duty opens, from the ones that fit that department, unless a community lock has already decided.
- Events are a month calendar, shown even when nothing is scheduled. Pick a day to list its events, or tap an event for its details.
- Admins order and hide the home page sections in Settings → Homepage. Empty sections disappear, and announcements show pinned first with the author's avatar.
- Feature gates turn off the modules and dashboards a community does not use. The server refuses them too, not only the menu, and the owner can still open them.
- Log servers: a Discord server used only for logs, added once the bot is in it. Webhook channels are grouped by server and can be applied to a whole category at once.
- Unit names can be entered at sign-on instead of taken from Discord, and that name is what the board, the live map, the radio log and the game show.
Records and courts
Warrants, licences and court filings follow rules each community sets.
- Warrant approval is set per kind: arrest, search, and each report template marked as a warrant. A kind left unset follows the community's auto-approve setting, and a judge's own warrant goes live.
- Report templates from the report builder can be marked as arrest, search or other warrants, and go through the same approval flow.
- Licence numbers follow a format per licence type, including drivers, CDL, motorcycle, firearms, hunting, fishing, boating, off-road and pilot, and per custom licence.
- Suspensions follow a points ladder you edit, and points expire on a clock you set.
- The legal panel has judge, DOJ and private attorney roles linked to Discord roles, filings with exhibits and charges from the charge book, a hearings calendar and an audit trail.
- Civilian flags are set per community and can expire. Officer-safety flags can be read aloud on an MDT lookup.
- Report and case numbers run in sequence per department, in a format you configure.
Access and evidence
Call data and evidence reach the people whose work needs them, and the server checks that on every request.
- Calls are for responders: department members, dispatch, tow and community admins. A civilian places a 911 call and is given its incident number, and anyone else who asks for a call is told why on the page.
- The evidence locker books each item with a tag, a holder and a custody chain that is only ever added to. Evidence on reports and investigations is booked for you, and you see your own items and the ones shared with you.
- Evidence files are kept in private storage and open through a link that expires. An item can be entered as an exhibit on a court case and withdrawn again.
- The people pickers for sharing, custody and departments can be searched.
- Department membership is read per community, so a member added to a department sees it on the home page and in their buttons without signing in again.
- A /cadlink sign-in from the game server covers one community and department work only. Admin pages need a sign-in on the website, and the check on the address the link came from works across IPv4 and IPv6.
Phone app and Academy
CDECAD runs as an app on iPhone and Android, and CDE Academy runs training for any community, with or without a CAD plan.
- The iPhone and Android app opens on the phone-sized Mobile MDT, signs in with Face ID or Touch ID, or by scanning the QR code on the in-game tablet.
- Push notifications are grouped by category, with call assignments opt-in. Tapping one opens what it is about, in the right community.
- CDE Wrapped, your year in review across every community you belong to, is in the app.
- CDE Academy runs courses, quizzes, practical sign-offs and certificates, and a certificate can expire and be renewed.
- Learners join with a code or an email invite, without needing a Discord role.
- A community without a CAD plan can run the Academy on the free CDE Academy plan.
Setup, billing and languages
The /start wizard was rebuilt around what the admin panel saves, and billing emails now open Stripe directly.
- /start is 15 steps in five groups. Each step saves through the same endpoints as the admin panel, and progress is kept on the server, so you pick up at the first unfinished step on any device.
- Departments start from a state, San Andreas or any US state: its state agency, a sheriff for each county you pick, and police and fire for each city, from US Census county and city data.
- Payment-failed, subscription-ended and deactivation emails carry a signed link that opens the right Stripe page when clicked: the open invoice, the billing portal, or a new checkout on your plan. The link lasts 60 days.
- Before a cancellation request, the owner is offered a discount worth part of one month's price, set by how long the community has paid: 10% under three months, rising to 60% after two years. One can be accepted every 12 months.
- There is one plan, billed over 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months.
- You can reset a password by email.
- The CAD is available in French, alongside English, Czech and Spanish.
Report forms
Bring a department's own paper forms into the CAD, and build templates in an editor laid out like a real form builder.
- Import a PDF form of up to six pages. A fillable form's own fields are matched to report fields for you to confirm; on a flat or scanned form, you drag values onto the page where they belong.
- Values come from the template's fields or from the report itself: the officer, date and location, the subject's name, date of birth, address and licence, the vehicle, and the charges with their fine total.
- A report built from that template has a Download PDF form button. The server fills and flattens the form, and prints "Roleplay document - not an official record" at the foot of each page unless an admin turns it off.
- The report builder has a template list with folders, and an editor with the field list, the form and the selected field's settings side by side. On a phone the settings open in a sheet.
- Drag fields to reorder them, or use the arrow keys. Saving keeps you in the editor, and a missing label or a plan limit shows next to the field it concerns.
- The preview runs the same logic officers get when they fill in the report, so conditions, calculations and required answers behave as they will for real.
Upgrading
- Existing communities keep their settings. Every feature gate starts on, the priorities and statuses you had keep working, and unit names keep coming from Discord until you switch them to sign-on.
- The FiveM resource is set up from Community admin → Integrations → Resource setup rather than from /start. That is where the server key is created and the server.cfg lines are filled in.
- GPS waypoints from the CAD need CDECAD resource 3.12.0 or later on the game server, and the resource tells you when a newer build exists.
- When you add a game server, its address waits in the approval queue under Integrations until the owner approves it. The first address is approved automatically.
- Owners and admins who sign in through /cadlink in game get department work only on that sign-in. Use a sign-in on the website for the admin pages.
