CDE Radio - a FiveM radio with a CAD console and AI dispatch

CDE Radio is the in-game radio for CDECAD. Units talk on it in FiveM, dispatchers hear them and answer from the /radio console in a browser, and an AI dispatcher can take the traffic when nobody is on the desk. The channels, zones, units on duty, districts and calls all come from the CAD the community already uses.

Radios in game

Handheld, patrol car, aircraft and boat radios, each with its own look on screen. Voice runs over pma-voice's radio channels by default, or through the radio itself as Opus or Codec2. Channels can be encrypted so they cannot be scanned, and a unit can raise an emergency from any radio.

The dispatcher's console

The /radio console talks on any channel and monitors the rest. A dispatcher can move a unit to another channel, patch channels together, page chosen units for a call and see each acknowledgement, and hold all-call to reach every channel at once.

AI dispatch on the radio

The AI dispatcher runs plates and names, checks warrants, changes a unit's status and logs calls. Tow requests go to the tow queue, fire and EMS requests to the call board, and a unit on an ERS shift can have them offered to ERS players in game.

Towers, signal and area channels

Each tower has a range, and hills between a radio and its tower cost bars. A standard 32-site layout covers the map, with full bars across Los Santos and weaker patches in the county. Districts and zones drawn on the CAD can name a channel, and a unit's radio moves to it as they cross in.

Replay, Stream Deck and LB Phone

The last few transmissions on a channel can be played again in game or on the console. They stay in the game server's memory for ten minutes and are never sent to the CAD. A Stream Deck plugin drives the radio from the desk, and an LB Phone app lets anyone with the phone listen to open channels.
