How to Use the Dispatch Live Map in FiveM

Guide to using the dispatch live map in FiveM. GPS tracking, unit locations, call visualization, and map features.

Accessing the Live Map

The CDE CAD live map provides a real-time overhead view of all active units, calls, and incidents on your FiveM server. Access it from the dispatch dashboard by clicking the Live Map tab. The map displays the full game world with unit positions updated in real time through the FiveM integration resource.

Understanding Map Markers

Different marker types represent different elements on the map. Unit markers show their current status by color: green for available, yellow for busy, red for emergency. Call markers appear where 911 calls originate. Incident markers show active scenes. Hover over any marker to see detailed information without leaving the map view.

Tracking Unit Movements

As officers move through the game world, their positions update on the live map automatically. Dispatchers can follow a specific unit by clicking their marker and selecting Track Unit. This centers the map on that unit and follows their movement, which is useful when monitoring a pursuit or tracking an officer during a call.

Managing Calls from the Map

Dispatchers can create and manage calls directly from the live map interface. Click on a location to create a new call at that position. Drag and drop units onto call markers to assign them. The map provides a visual overview of resource distribution, helping dispatchers identify coverage gaps or areas with too many units.

Map Configuration Options

Customize your live map experience in the settings panel. Toggle different marker types on or off, adjust the refresh rate, change the map style, and configure which information displays on hover. Dispatchers can save their preferred map configuration for consistent sessions.
