How to Set Up FiveM CAD Integration Step by Step

Integration Overview
CDE CAD integrates directly with your FiveM server through a dedicated resource that syncs player data, unit positions, vehicle information, and dispatch events in real time. The integration enables the in-game tablet MDT, automatic unit tracking on the live map, and seamless data flow between the game and the CAD system.
Generating Your API Key
Start by generating an API key in your CDE CAD community admin panel. Navigate to Settings then FiveM Integration and click Generate API Key. Copy this key securely as you will need it to configure the FiveM resource. Each community has a unique API key that authenticates your server with CDE CAD.
Installing the FiveM Resource
Download the CDE CAD FiveM resource from the documentation portal. Place it in your server resources folder and add it to your server configuration file. Open the resource config.lua and enter your API key and community shortcode. Configure additional options like update frequency and feature toggles.
Configuring the In-Game Tablet
The in-game tablet provides officers with MDT access directly within the game. Configure the tablet keybind, appearance settings, and which features are accessible from in-game versus the web dashboard. The tablet supports person lookups, vehicle lookups, status updates, and basic report writing.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
If the integration is not working, check your API key for typos, verify your server can reach the CDE CAD API endpoints, and ensure the resource is started properly.
