How to Set Up a Business Directory in CDE CAD
Guide to setting up a business directory in CDE CAD. Business listings, profiles, and community economy.
Business Directory Overview
The CDE CAD business directory creates a public-facing listing of all registered businesses in your roleplay community. Businesses get their own profile pages with descriptions, categories, contact information, and employee listings. The directory enhances the civilian roleplay experience and provides SEO-friendly content for your community.
Enabling the Business Module
Navigate to Community Admin and enable the Business Directory module. Configure settings such as whether businesses require admin approval before listing, maximum number of businesses per character, and which business categories are available. Set up the directory page to appear on your community showcase.
Creating Business Listings
Business owners register their businesses through the civilian portal. They enter the business name, category, description, address, and operating hours. Each business gets a unique URL slug for its profile page. Business owners can upload a logo and customize their listing to attract customers.
Managing Business Categories
Create categories that match your community economy such as Auto Shops, Restaurants, Real Estate, Legal Services, Medical Clinics, and Entertainment. Each category helps organize the directory and makes it easier for community members to find specific business types.
