How to Register Vehicles in FiveM CAD System
Guide to vehicle registration in FiveM CAD system. Registration, plates, insurance, and DMV operations.
Vehicle Registration Process
Vehicle registration in CDE CAD creates a database record linking a vehicle to its owner. Civilians can register vehicles through the civilian portal, or DMV staff can process registrations through the DMV bureau. Each registration records the vehicle make, model, year, color, plate number, and registered owner.
Using the Civilian Portal
Characters can register their own vehicles through the civilian portal. Navigate to the Vehicles section and click Register Vehicle. Enter the vehicle details and select which character will be the registered owner. The system generates a unique plate number or allows custom plates depending on your community settings.
DMV Bureau Operations
Staff assigned to the DMV department can process registrations, renewals, and transfers for community members. The DMV bureau provides tools for managing all vehicle-related operations including title transfers, registration renewals, and plate replacements. DMV staff can also flag vehicles as stolen or impounded.
Vehicle Database for Officers
Registered vehicles appear in the MDT lookup system. When officers run a plate, they see the registration status, owner information, any flags or alerts, and insurance status. Expired registrations, stolen vehicle flags, and BOLO matches are highlighted prominently to alert officers during lookups.
Managing Vehicle Records
Administrators can manage all vehicle records through the admin panel. Bulk import vehicles, clean up duplicate records, and configure vehicle classes. The vehicle database integrates with the citation system so officers can issue registration-related violations directly from the MDT.
