How to Create & Manage BOLOs in FiveM CAD

Guide to creating and managing BOLOs in FiveM CAD. Person alerts, vehicle alerts, and resolution tracking.

Understanding the BOLO System

BOLOs (Be On the Lookout) are critical alerts that notify all active officers about wanted persons, suspicious vehicles, or developing situations. CDE CAD BOLO system supports person BOLOs, vehicle BOLOs, and general situation BOLOs. Each BOLO type has specific fields designed to capture the most relevant identification information.

Creating a Person BOLO

To create a person BOLO, navigate to the BOLO management section from your MDT or dispatch console. Enter the person description including name if known, physical description, last known location, and the reason for the BOLO. Set the urgency level and select whether officers should approach with caution or use extreme care.

Creating a Vehicle BOLO

Vehicle BOLOs capture license plate information, vehicle make, model, color, and any distinguishing features. Link the vehicle BOLO to a person if applicable. CDE CAD automatically cross-references vehicle BOLOs with plate lookups, so officers running a plate that matches an active BOLO will receive an immediate alert.

Managing Active BOLOs

The BOLO dashboard shows all active alerts across your community. Filter by type, urgency, or department. Update BOLOs as new information becomes available. When a BOLO subject is located or the situation is resolved, mark the BOLO as resolved with a resolution note explaining the outcome.

BOLO Notifications and Alerts

CDE CAD sends real-time notifications for new BOLOs to all active units. If Discord webhooks are configured, BOLOs also post to your designated Discord channel. Officers receive alerts both in the CAD interface and through any configured notification channels, ensuring maximum visibility for urgent situations.
