Security Center Overview
The Security Center is a dedicated page within CDE CAD built specifically for monitoring and protecting your community. Unlike scattered security settings buried in different menus, the Security Center consolidates every security tool into one command hub. From here, administrators can track login attempts, manage blocked IPs, issue user bans, review suspicious activity flags, and analyze security trends across customizable time windows. Every action taken in the Security Center is logged, creating an unbroken chain of accountability. Whether you are running a 20-player community or a 200-player server, the Security Center scales with your needs and keeps you in control of who accesses your system and what they do once inside. If you run web tools of your own next to the CAD, such as an application form or a stats page, the OWASP Top Ten is the standard list of risks to check them against.
Login Attempt Tracking
Comprehensive login attempt tracking is the first line of defense in any security system. CDE CAD logs every single authentication event - successful or failed - and presents them in a paginated list supporting over 50 entries per page. This means you can scroll through weeks of login history without losing data or performance. Each log entry captures the username, IP address, timestamp, and result, giving you everything needed to spot anomalies and investigate incidents.
IP Blocking & Management
IP blocking is your most direct tool for stopping threats at the network level. When you identify a malicious IP through login tracking or suspicious activity alerts, you can block it immediately from the Security Center. Blocked IPs are denied access to the entire CAD system - they cannot log in, view pages, or interact with any API endpoints. The block takes effect instantly, cutting off the threat without delay.
User Banning System
When IP blocking is not enough - because a user switches IPs or the threat comes from an authenticated account - the user banning system provides account-level enforcement. Banning a user locks their account regardless of what IP they connect from. CDE CAD supports both temporary bans for corrective action and permanent bans for ongoing threats. Every ban is documented with a reason, creating a transparent record for appeals and consistent enforcement.
Threat Detection & Analytics
