Running an FTO program in a FiveM community
Classroom training says somebody knows the material. Field training says they can use it on a live call with somebody watching. The two are different jobs and CDE CAD runs them separately.
Phases, with checkpoints you decide
The FTO panel tracks trainees across phases with customisable checkpoints per phase. A trainee advances when the sign-offs for that phase are complete, not when somebody feels they are ready.
A daily observation report after every shift
DORs capture what happened, how the trainee handled it and what to work on. The FTO submits from the panel and supervisors review them together, so a pattern across four shifts is visible as a pattern.
Evaluations with weighted categories
Shift evaluations score against categories you weight yourself, so officer safety can count for more than radio discipline if that is your call.
Graduation is a documented chain
Sign-off runs FTO to supervisor to admin. When it completes, the officer moves into records and conduct tracking automatically, which is where the rest of their career is recorded.
Where the Academy fits
Put the material a trainee needs before their first shift into CDE Academy as a course, and use the FTO panel for what happens on the road. See also building the training program itself.
